MECS Engineering Inc. is an engineering services company based in Toronto, promoted by industry experts serving Power, Oil and Gas, Petrochemicals, Renewable Energy, Hydrogen Generation, and Process industries. We specialize in piping design, detailed engineering, stress analysis, pressure vessel design, structural design and analysis, third-party verification, and Canadian Registration (CRN).
We are seeking an experienced Engineer with a strong background in stress analysis preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The ideal candidate will be a self-confident, detail-oriented individual who can work independently at an advanced level and accomplish a wide variety of assignments. This person should have substantial knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and industry standard practices. They will work with other team members, interdisciplinary teams, and customers, coordinating design activities from start to finish, including interactions with regulators such as TSSA, ABSA, and APEGA. The role involves building positive working relationships with external parties, preparing proposals by developing execution strategies, estimating costs, and presenting to customers. Significant people contact and team-building skills are essential.
Must Have:
- Engineering degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, and P.Eng. certification.
- Relevant industry experience.

- Knowledge of relevant engineering software.
- Finite Element Analysis (FEA).

Job Duties:
- Design proposals for customers.
- Review and understand the scope of project/assignments.
- Align with customer requirements through discussions.
- Prepare and present proposals to customers.
- Develop the design plan/project schedule.
- Coordinate with internal and external design and engineering teams.
- Review final design documents and drawings.
- Coordinate with regulators if required.
- Lead daily/weekly progress meetings.
