MECS Engineering is proud to announce the addition of another project to our ongoing work with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compressor International Corporation (MCOI) for the Dow Path2Zero (P2Z) Project near Edmonton, Alberta.
In addition to our previous projects, this involves providing engineering services to obtain Design Registrations from the Alberta Boilers Safety Association (ABSA) for piping systems and special fittings.This expansion of our collaboration highlights MECS Engineering’s continued role in supporting the world’s first net-zero emissions ethylene cracker and derivatives site, demonstrating our commitment to excellence in engineering and sustainable innovation.

MECS Awarded New Project by Mitsubishi for DOW Path to Zero Initiative in Alberta, Canada
MECS has been retained for another project by Mitsubishi Japan/USA, supporting Dow Chemical’s new net-zero facility near Edmonton, Alberta. Dow’s Fort Saskatchewan Path2Zero expansion project will establish the world’s first net-zero emissions integrated ethylene cracker and derivatives site. MECS will provide consulting services to MCO, focusing on the piping systems for multiple steam turbine and compressor skids, ensuring code compliance and obtaining CRNs (Canadian Registration Numbers) from ABSA on their behalf.
